In constructing my wine cellar, I wanted an affordable cooling unit that operated quietly and efficiently. I went online to WhisperKool’s Cellar Wizard and entered the cellar information (room dimensions, type of insulation, location of cellar within my home, etc.). It recommended I choose one of the Self-contained SC PRO units for my space. After confirming with the folks at Whisperkool that this was the right unit for me, I ordered it and easily installed it myself. (The customer service department emphasized that the unit must vent into a room with adequate ventilation, otherwise the unit won’t cool the cellar properly.) Works like a charm and cools the space gradually and quietly.
