Ultraviolet Germicidal Irradiation (UVGI) is a disinfection method that uses short-wavelength ultraviolet (UV-C) light to kill microorganisms such as fungus, mold, mildew, and bacteria. Adding UV lighting to a cooling unit increases overall indoor air quality while improving the performance of the unit. Specifically, the UV light option will protect your unit from mold and other bacterial growth. Commonly used in HVAC application, this UV disinfection method uses short-wavelength ultraviolet (UV-C) light to kill microorganisms. As mold, fungus, or bacteria are exposed to UVC, their DNA degrades until they are no longer able to reproduce, and they eventually die. Our UV lighting system is designed as an optional feature that will target the buildup of these microorganisms.
WhisperKOOL® Ceiling Mount Series 4000/8000/Twin
Based on valuable feedback, we are happy to announce a series of system upgrades to our Ceiling Mount cooling system line! Technicians and installers will be happy to hear that the electrical wiring, bottle probe wiring, and the lineset are all located at the bottom of the unit, rather than the top. Not only are the essential components relocated and easier to access, flare fittings will now be utilized so that there is no brazing needed in the field. The redesign includes e-coated duramax evaporator coils which will improve system performance, a 2-speed fan switch that will decrease noise levels up to 7 dbs, and a new looking hex mesh grille with an air filter to protect the unit from the intake of potentially harmful debris during the initial start-up.
WhisperKOOL® SC PRO Series 2000/3000/4000/8000
The SC PRO Series embodies the latest and greatest system design technologies in an all-new housing design. Developed upon feedback directly from customers and installers, the unit incorporates a variety of high-end components at an affordable price point. By combining powerful airflow with quiet operation technology, the SC PRO is unrivaled when it comes to efficiently cooling small to mid-sized wine cellars.
What separates the original SC Series from the SC PRO Series? The SC PRO comes complete with a new, blower fan system that optimizes performance while operating at a significantly lower noise level. It also reintroduces a condensate management system, which effectively evaporates up to 3oz. of water an hour. This management system renders the drain line as an additional safeguard rather than a definite need.
The SC PRO Series will continue to be a direct replacement for one of the most well-known cellar cooling units, the XLT. It can also replace older SC models.
